There are, according to some estimates, literally hundreds of Russian dating agencies on the Internet; which one should you choose?
Elena’s Models is a dating site that specializes in connecting American and European men with Russian, Ukrainian and European women seeking love and marriage. The site promises not only to put men in touch with foreign women, but ones that are prescreened for attractiveness, or what the site calls “Russian Girls of Model Quality!”
Elena’s Models has been part of the dating industry since 1999 and says that it was the first agency to introduce its own blacklist of dating scammers. The agency is recommended by numerous anti-scam lists, including antiscam.net. Our own investigation using Web of Trust, a nonprofit service that rates websites, showed it is having a good trustworthiness rating.
Elena’s Models offers compatible partners for long term relationships and marriage, not those, it insists, just looking for famous or wealthy men or wanting to get into another country. According to the site, its clients “want to be loved and respected by their husbands, and be able to love and respect their husbands in return.”
It states that its primary goal is to help its customers get married and stay married—this is not a site for those seeking “one night stands.” There are far easier ways to do that than with a foreign woman anyway.
Elena’s Models says that it has helped hundreds of people find the loves of their lives. The company insists that it does not offer “mail order brides,” but real partners who are seeking a better life—women who are intelligent and educated in hold family and marriage as a first priority. According to the site, most of its Russian clients “hold advanced degrees and many work as professionals.”
Anti-Scam Safeguards
The operators of Elena’s Models understand the problems caused by unscrupulous and fly-by-night operators that have given Russian dating agencies a bad name in the past, and promises that its highest priority is the success of its clients. The site offers a page of testimonials from satisfied clients and many photos of happy couples who have found each other through its services.
Elena’s Models offers customer support that is prompt and friendly, and asks that you do not hesitate to contact them if you have a question or need help. “We are here to serve you and we will help you as much as we can on every stage of your search,” they say.
Elena’s models accepts credit cards and uses third-party billing services so that the words “Elena’s Models”will not appear on your credit card statement (no need to worry about what your banker, financial manager or accountant might think about your purchase)!
The site offers different packages to cater to different needs.
The Platinum Membership is the complete, all-in-one package offering three exclusive options:
* UNLIMITED direct email addresses of women;
* A featured listing in the search results on the site;
* A listing in the gentlemen’s catalogue on the index page of Elena’s Models’ Russian website receiving over 13,000 unique visitors a month. The site is in the Russian language and is the one that the Russian women browse in order to find a compatible marriage partner abroad.
The Gold Membership offers:

* Unlimited “Expression of Interest” messages;
* Unlimited e-mail messaging;
* Additional “super-large” photos of ladies.
Is Elena’s Models popular among Russian women as well as among Western men? Yes, the service says. Every week it receives 50-250 new applications from Russian women.
The site does not accept all women who apply to it. It checks the applications that women submit to it, and sends double confirmation e-mails and postal mail to ensure that the women remember their ads with the service and inform it when they no longer consider themselves available.
In addition, the site offers Russian translation services to help men communicate with their potential brides.
Why Do Russian Women Seek Foreign Men?
One question men ask is why Russian women seek husbands abroad. Elena’s Models replies that, according to the latest census, there are 10 million fewer women of marriageable age in Russia than men. Also, many Russian women are disappointed by the attitudes of Russian men and believe that foreign man value family more. Many Russian women know of Russian girls who have married and found happiness with foreign men.
The site insists that escaping Russian financial hardship is not the primary reason that Russian women seek husbands abroad. As the site states frankly, “You should not expect that your American (British, Australian etc.) passport alone will be the reason why a beautiful Russian girl decides to marry you.”
The site’s advice? “Don’t try to impress [the female clients] with WHAT you are or what you HAVE, try to impress them with WHO you are – your values, your experience, your inner self. Approach them with the same respect as you would like your sister or daughter to be approached. Treat her like a princess, and she will become YOUR princess.”
Elena’s Models allows men to give their direct e-mail address to their Russian women of interests and vice versa. The site says that it’s primary goal is to encourage its members to develop real in-person romances, not just an online correspondence. It encourages the sharing of personal data between the members but only after they have exchanged a few e-mails through their own system and are feeling comfortable with each other.
Using Elena’s Models
Registering for the site and beginning to correspond with Russian ladies entails three basic steps:
Step 1. Create your own profile (free). to do so, you click on the link “Register” at the top of the home page and follow the instructions.
Step 2. Find some women you want to contact. Click on the “Add to Favorites” button when viewing a woman’s personal page.
Step 3. Send an email or an “Expression of Interest” message through the website to the ladies of your choice.
To contact women, however, you do need to upgrade your membership to a Premium level (Gold or Platinum). Platinum membership allows you to access direct email addresses of women.
Be cautioned that if you are serious about wanting to meet a Russian woman for potential marriage, after you have found a lady who appeals to you using the service, you should consider traveling to Russia or other country of the former Soviet Union in which she resides to meet her.
Even if you find a suitable marriage partner in Russia or the Ukraine, that still does not mean that sailing will be easy. One Australian client described himself as going through “mountains of paperwork for a fiancee visa for her to come to Australia.” His advice to other men seeking a marriage partner was to “follow your dreams. There are more nice woman in the former USSR than the bad ones that the media will have you believe.”

Never Use any dating sites. Especially in Russia or Ukraine. They are all scam sites. Most if not all women are there to scam you. Be highly aware!
